With the gym industry closed at-home equipment are more viable than ever. This post is to give our clients an idea of what equipment is recommended that won't break the bank.

  1. TRX or Suspension Bands

Suspension Bands only recently started gaining popularity in the gym community. It was originally used in the military to help soldiers workout without all the excess equipment. Suspension Bands are able to create a variety of exercises without using a ton of other equipment, and all you have to do is anchor it to a door. These Bands can range from 40 Dollars to 200 plus, depending on quality.

2. Resistance Band set w/ Door Anchor

These bands are the very versatile and are the cheapest when it comes to full body workouts. When purchasing these bands make sure they are stackable, so you can adjust weight past 50lbs, and have a door anchor. Ankle straps are optional, but can very beneficial when it comes to leg exercises. We require/recommend most clients to get these bands especially if they have no exercise equipment at home. The resistance bands can range from 20 dollars to 50 plus, also depending on quality.

3. Physio/Stability/Exercise Ball

This ball has many names, most people actually have this equipment in their home, but don't know how to properly use it. We would teach you a variety of movements using the ball that you never thought of. The ball runs in a vary of sizes, if you‘re unsure of the size to get contact your trainer to find what works best. The physio ball can run from as low as 5 dollars to 20 plus, depending on quality.

4. Mini Band Set

These bands are referred to as mini bands, and they have specific uses. These don't need a lot of space and they are very easy to store. The reason we consider these a top equipment is due to the muscle they help activate which other equipment may not do properly. These mini bands can be 5 dollars to 30 dollars plus, depending on quality.

As you get more comfortable working out at-home and virtual you can always ask your trainer for other equipment that might be viable to you based on your space and training style. Hopefully this is a good start for everyone and continue to train on!
